KL Vintage Festival |
The two-day KL Vintage Festival held at Lanai Matic (Malaysia Tourism Centre), Kuala Lumpur led visitors down memory lane recently.
It featured 118 vendors selling a diverse range of products, including clothes, shoes, accessories, bags, toys, collectibles and food.
Over at the main stage was a display of not-for-sale vintage toys in the form of bicycles, tricycles, as well as miniature scooters and cars.
“Vintage is loosely defined as pre-loved items that still have value,” said Azmeer Idrus. Together with his wife Zaharah Nakibullah, they are the founders of Pintu Merah - the festival organiser.
“There were only 83 traders when started the festival in 2011; the number grew to 118 traders last year,” said Azmeer.
Mona Nayna decided to drop by after finding out about Kuala Lumpur Vintage Festival on Facebook, and found the event “very interesting”.
“I came here with the intention to shop, and I found several clothing items that appealed to my style,” said the 22-year-old who went with her family.
